another weekend gone by

warning: rants up ahead

back at the office, a bit stressed out. over all, i have to admit i have a great life: happy, healthy dogs; great schedule at a job i am damned good at; lots of fun & thoughtful friends; a wonderful family; a stunningly incredible man who doesn't cease to make me happy & communicate. pretty bloody awesome, really. i just wish money weren't such an issue. money comes in waves - ebbs & flows & sometimes drowns one. i don't really need to go into this per say but i have had better financial times. i know they will come again but in the meantime, what a bloody pain in my arse!!

no training this weekend. couldn't get up & stay up. i think that gas leak is still in effect. saw an art show of some former temple brothers & it was so nice to see those guys. hung out at qbertplaya's sweet crib. also went to a lovely bbq in the hood for good friends with their good friends & were the last to leave. a bit too much to drink but that's because there was an actual bar keep making drinks & i was mixing! quan tuo has a headcold or something & wasn't feeling too hot into this morning. his sleeping schedule is maddening! i guess i am jealous too. i find the most restful sleep occurs for me in the wee hours of the morning. the boyos have been so great with the sleeping in. they had fun times this weekend, albeit shorter walks since we started so late & it's so hot already! i am reading NAKED by david sedaris & it is hilarious! i needed something funny after coetze's DISGRACE which infuriated me while reading it.
