many moons ago my good friend darrin, who has dropped off the face of the earth again, was married to a japanese woman & while she was not a geisha, she bathed him every day. i immediately thought to myself: how lovely to have your very own geisha, i should get one. further thought on the subject left me with bitter thoughts that not only would i not likely get my own geisha, that i may have to be the geisha. so forget that.
recently i had the singular experience of helping to shave off quan tuo's beard. he has had a beard now for about 6 weeks & he had never had one before. when he first brought it up that i could help, i thought he was joking. when i realized he was serious, i was worried that i'd nick him since it is an arduous task of first cutting short the hair with tiny little scissors then shaving it with a razor. it was uncomfortable at first, making sure i could see well enough & that the hairs fell into the sink but really it was quite enjoyable once we got into a groove. it didn't take that long either despite it seeming like a slow process.
now i am not saying i am going to bath him nightly or anything crazy like that but i was surprised how much fun it was. i would not probably enjoy having him shave any part of my body, or maybe i would! i very much enjoyed the beard while it lasted but now i can see his beautiful face clearly & more of it! there was a tinge of sexy in the act of shaving a man. who would have thought?
