sau so good

quan tuo & i checked this place out last night which was first mentioned to me by rosa. colin could not stop raving about it all day yesterday having eaten there the night before so i had to, had to, had to check it out. we had a 1/2 rack of pork ribs (yum) & a half order of the flank steak (red inside!), baked beans, homemade kraut (num2) & german style potato salad without the wretched mayonaise! quan tuo had a beer then my beer since i opted for coca cola to wash everything down with. he had another beer after that too. true to form, i ran next door to the thai restaurant & ordered a small white rice (no bag needed, just chopsticks for my hair) to shovel in with the meaty goodness. we also ordered the most intense chocolate truffles i have had ever. we couldn't finish them & tried to give them away to the couple we shared a table with & to the mexican help. i have to tell you, it's not the cheapest but it is oh so delicious. i even liked their bbq sauce & hot sauce combo. the rolls were very buttery too. it is mostly picnic table style & they had a really wide selection of scotch & whisky. their beers had very cool knives as taps, except the meat tenderizer & what looked like the an ice pick. they do run out of food so it's best to go on the early side. i wanted to try the marlo & son's sausages (out) & the pig tail (out, out) so next time!! it was such a beautiful night last night & i was shocked that the place was not swimming with people. apart from the excellent yummies & the wonderful company, one of the best parts of the evening was watching people walk in & then run out with a look of disgust (angry vegetarians!) with one gurl who looked like she was in tears! ha!
