buddha's warrior pounds the mortar

intrepid chadie is taking it upon herself to learn the names of all the chen style tai chi moves from other sources since it's not something temple people are learning for some odd reason. thus far the first movement (10 flowing stances) makes sense. i will continue to report on it as things progress. i did the movements a few times since tuesday & i am sure randy will correct me in some sections. i am excited about today! maybe i can learn more!
i was thinking about testing. this is the 3rd testing i will have missed. 3 opportunities to test for chuji quantao & yiluquan. frankly i am not ready to test for yiluquan since it's been a long time since i last did it & even then it wasn't the best. not tight. not flowing. certainly not low enough on the stances. somehow i have to incorporate shaolin practice in my life. at the very least, stay after tai chi one day a week to practice what i have learned & do the shaolin forms. there are many there to help correct me (including sifu) if needed. but i need also utilize heng ji more. it'll keep his earlier forms in top shape if he is helping me sharpen mine.
today snapdragon shi heng ju will be meeting me at temple courtesy of her sitter & friend "el". this should be fun & hopefully not too distracting to templefolks.
heng ju feels very at home at temple. she knows what that green carpet is for.
amituofo.
