last night after class, quan tuo took the time to download all our photos from the trip & there are so many great photos to share & enjoy but above is one of the ones i love from our day at pope beach with camp sac folks (one of the few camp activities we both joined). it was a beautiful day & before arriving there, we took a detour to view the lake tahoe fire damage which was stunning. it was strange that the fires took out houses & left neighborhing others intact, completely. it was a nice eerie ride into million $ mansions & secluded areas. the trees were singed & burned to about 20 feet up so that the leaves were also burned up, skeletal. but renewal will come again. a macabre sight though. at pope beach which was surrounded by mountains, we lay about for a while getting some sun, then did some shaolin gratuitious photo taking in various poses. i wasn't keen on going in the water but after our walk along the beach where wave after wave splattered us, i realized the water was glorious! so in we went for some boppin' good times. some of you will be privy to these photos & the rest will have to rely on good old imagination! it was such fun. especially since apart from camp folks & some odd people here & there, the beach was ours.
