emotion in motion

moving is an emotional & physical trial. yes it is great to purge & you will find it easier the more you do it but the initial sitting down to do item after item is really daunting. to think i will be doing this again before the end of the year. in all the amigos plan did not work out due to lots of snags with timing & borrowing automobile. next time i will do what i did in the move previous to this: get movers. i have good ones too & called them last minute but you know that never works out. so in all, quan tuo & i moved ourselves, with unplanned help from my bloodbrother & from katkayla. we ended up leaving pretty much everything that was in the flat when i arrived with the dogcouch & a couple of chairs thrown in. i don't really care. that building is going to be demolished very soon to make way for a 16 story atrocity. good riddance. we had good times there but the last year has been hell with the slumlord being a total asshole. in fact, one of my neighbors experiencing the same from slumlord, in the next building, is feverishly investigating the bastard & will nail him to the wall. someone should. i cheer him on with glee!

the boyos are slightly confused. it will be best to stay as far away from the old flat as possible so it can be drilled in their head that we no longer live there. it is definitely an adjustment for all of us.

the last 3 days have flown by. so much more to do, gotta get moving (no pun intended). at least my room is lovely & although quan tuo & i are now sharing a closet (what are we heathens?) we have to get that space going so it's more comfortable. it is also where the foster pup is staying but that is part of the deal. have to keep the pup & the room clean & fresh smelling as best as possible. i have managed all these 8 years with mac then tentoes not to have my stuff smell like dog. it's well worth the effort.
