dog days

this photo is not from the weekend but shows pretty clearly the kind of lallygagging i am talking about!
it was an unbelievably lazy weekend! it was not by design, not by any means. we fully intended both days to go into temple & train, to clean up, unpack, begin the inevitable purging for the upcoming move but did any of this happen? not so much.
quan tuo was watching golf all weekend & playing videogames, as all good boys must. the boyos did have good walks & some play time but mostly they lay about much as we did. i am near done with the crying of lot 49 which is a pity as i am really enjoying it. the most social we were was on friday when quan tuo met my bloodbrother & i first for drinks then for delicious dinner. that was good fun & it's always splendid hanging out with my bloodbrother. he should make it a point to see the boyos & soon! we were even invited to a show at mccaren pool but couldn't motivate enough for that. neither could i get myself enthused about giving the boyos a bath, not that they didn't need it nor is a backyard available for my use often at all! nah, these things didn't get me going. we did eat terribly well this weekend. that just added to the lacksidaisical factor. it was good & much needed, i suppose. i was wide awake this morning & took boyos for a lovely, long walk around town before the dogpark. today quan tuo gives sifu his letter for discipleship. i am very happy for him & support him 100% though i myself would prefer the demo team & cannot bring myself to be anyone's disciple. i think his relationship with sifu & temple will change because he wishes it. sifu is a lucky man.
