lovely weekends

i can't tell you how happy i am with the glorious weather these past few days. i know that it will undoubtably turn sour (hot, hot, hot, according to all predictions) but as i like to live in the moment, this isn't anything to scoff at. it's been fantastische! we were very chill most of the weekend but here is a recap:
friday-
after work, i spend a leisurely hour strolling down to south street seaport to pick up tickets for a 4th of july band called the new pornographers that qbertplaya was awesome to coordinate for us kung fu folks. i met up with hannah r to get the tickets & we hung out for a bit, snacking on nachos, bloody marys, ice cream & running into heng mo with her pony prince (man they are so cute together) then finally qbertplaya & her man, with a couple of her friends & saw heng po on line! we then went to a posh & expensive bar/restaurant where we were met by quan tuo, richi, billy of the vipers & his trish. we went to a mexican place & hung out outside, catching up. gosh, i love our kung fu brothers!
saturday-
quan tuo, the boyos & i went for a nice long walk & to the dogpark & to get yummies for the day. we had a good day with lots of naps & good food & happy dogs. qbertplaya came out to hang out so we hit the alligator for free pizza (pepperoni & garlic, oooh kissable) & whisky & soda! it was great to hang out with her though we did see her friday, we had her all to ourselves! we went back to our place after for some smoke & more drinks & pieces of shaolin soccer. of course, quan tuo made qbertplaya train with him, working on pubu & teaching her more of erluquan. we put her in a cab after 1am. so happy she came out to play!
sunday-
machiavelli's bday! i told him that quan tuo had something for him & we went about the flat looking for it & when he found it, he waited til quan tuo actually opened it up & gave him his new ball! he is so happy. he plays with it at home & in the grassy knoll next door really running around, catching & pouncing on it. i gave him the monkey which teno promptly killed but hey, little brothers should get to play too! so we went next door in the morning & played & again in the afternoon. we had lots of delicious treats & yummies for boyos & their overlords. we watched woman is the future of man & maybe it was too much smoke or something but i couldn't get into it! i read off & on all afternoon this book rosa gave me called desire but it was really irritating! i had just finished razor's edge which i found hard to get into but loved towards the end (after taking over 2 mos of a break). quan tuo & i also stretched a bit, lots of forward bends to wake those hips up!
lots of plans for this week, a short work week & hopefully psychologically short too!
fireworks are upon us & boy bunny needs some extra attention & hugs. teno is getting so much better with his bark backs.
let's hope the weather keeps up. today is another beautiful day!
