this is very exciting & completely took me by surprise! yesterday while at the grassy knoll with my boys, i showed quan tuo what i had learned tuesday. he then told me to serve up grapes again after pubu then the cross caijao then the gongbu & then he said finish. so i finished & said: that's it? i thought there was much more. apparently not! so hooray! i finished the second form & now have 2 months to sharpen up before testing. [although i will train meditation not to be too attached to testing outcome!] that cross-caijao alone really stuns me so i have a lot of work ahead! arm work needs refining too, stupid arms! i am very happy & we celebrated! it was heng mo's bday so there was lots to celebrate!
it was a good turn out of her shaolin & other friends. she was having a good time. sifu came by too & i have to admit it is strange & a bit off-putting seeing sifu as a man outside temple. not the first time but i suppose i need to look at him differently (as i am actually forced to) when these social events occur. it did not dampen my good time by any means, it was just odd. perhaps no more odd than him seeing me cozying up with quan tuo, if he didn't already know we are together.
when sifu says train harder!, one of his catch phrases, to me, i really think he says it to me & not that he is just saying it like he says can't help it (another). of course he says this in every possible occasion & as a catch-all response but i take it to heart! it's silly i know but dammit! i will train harder.
i hope my queasy stomach feels better as the day progresses. don't want to miss training tonite since we will be out of town for a while. one of the longest holidays i have had in a really long time.
no matter, quan tuo & i will train where we are. training outside is special & challenging in many ways. gotta get up before that bell i have heard about!
yeah, more chi!
