yesterday's steam pipe explosion threw alot of folks into panic. more specifically, jumping to conclusions about what is going on. my family called to see if was ok. it is sweet & everything but everyone knows i hardly ever go above 23rd street. 'nam.
quan tuo used to work in that area & would have been privy to the madness first hand. i heard a few friends work in that hood & no one i know was hurt. thank goodness. it doesn't mean that no one was hurt. people were. it's just not an act of terror. it's an act of bad city planning. with such an old city, it's surprising more things like this doesn't happen. any maroon with a purchased permit can build something around here. they should be more stringent, i think. even for just the urban planning & eyesore aspect. moreover, it seems that no one reviews how any of the city systems are doing, choosing only to repair when an issue happens. when will we ever learn?
