another weekend gone by

this weekend we had a special guest star at home, as i like to call anyone the boyos really likes to have over. you can see in the photo above, nina, a 90 lbs pitbull, sweet as pie & girlfriend to both my dogs (perhaps tenzin's tibetan name has rubbed off on everyone! i can clarify further if you have any interest). there were lots of wrestling, running, playing & of course naps & kisses. it's the way all weekends should be! we had her from friday morning until sunday evening. it was good times all around.

highlights of this weekend (other than nina tiring the boyos out) included: a chill friday night with quan tuo & dogs; for saturday: a long & lovely dog walk & hang about where we ran into many friends & the usual suspects in & around the dog park; downloading photos from my camera which each day reinforces how non-intuitive it is!; saw pirates of the carribean - i liked it! it ran a little too long but it was enjoyable; saw the new york city ballet with quan tuo's uncle richard, an evening of bach, was good but a bit on the slow side, to me the dancers looked like purdy flowers spinning about in the wind; sunday: more mellow yellow hanging about during the day followed by drinks in the evening with dogowner friends while shrek (which i had never seen) was on. all very good.

no training again this weekend. i can only say we woke up much too late both days to get the dogs out & get to training on time. it's a pity too since we will miss next weekend too. i am sure quan tuo will make up for it this week but i will only have the usual level 1 classes to train.

for some reason, despite the nice weather, i have been exhausted. i could still be recovering from the crazy last couple of weeks at work. the general malaise is alarming though. it could be that i just need the rest but i find that suspect. quan tuo's turf toe is strange, it looks better in that the swelling has gone down but there is swelling right above it & it still hurts. if it doesn't get better, we will have to have it looked at soon.

otherwise all is good. i hope to have a wicked short day at the office today. it's beautiful out & it's a shame to have to spend the bulk of it at the office.
