ooh L A, californay-a

so i am happy to report that i have only 54 minutes left at the office. i won't be seeing this place again until tuesday sometime. tonight i train in kung fu, catch some grub with the gang, then go home & pack for our early flight. i said goodbye to my boyos this morning, telling them that they will be going to kat&kayla's place for the weekend. they both looked worried but i know they will have good times, good times. they could have gone there tomorrow morning but it's very hard to leave the flat without walking the boyos first. moreover, machiavelli notoriously tries to insert himself in my luggage whenever i do pack, so i am saving him the attempt & me the de-hairing of my gear.
i haven't been to the west coast in a while. not counting hawaii, of course, where i only saw the airport. i am looking forward to this adventure.
of course new developments with quan tuo & work concerns me a little but i am sure he has a game plan.
this is a visit specifically to see his family & meet them. i am very curious about his family, not knowing much. i already sent a thank you for having us present via dhl (saves me carrying it plus it's bloody heavy) & i like the present very much so i am already happy. i can only give presents i like myself. call it a handycap. it's just the card i drew. it's a beautiful coffee table book with photos of books. seems silly but they are beautiful & i love books so...
quan tuo is meeting me at 5pm before training so we can talk. i have lots of questions of course about what is going on & what we can do about it.
