first entry

i suppose we all have to start somewhere. i can't count how many times friends have told me over the many years to start my own bloody blog already. my friends will feel better about having one location to see all my commentary without being subjected to multiple emails. so this is for all you lovely people.

note: this is a city dweller's rant. die niederwelt is a word i created from a dutch/german word hybrid to describe my home - new york city. you need not be a city dweller to enjoy these musings but if you are a city dweller, you will understand my slant.

it's a cold march afternoon but at least it's friday & i cannot wait to get home to see my boyos - machiavelli & tenzin lama. the snow is actually on the ground & that spells fun, fun, fun for most dogs & their overlords. it is expected to be cold again for the remainder of the weekend but i don't really mind. unlike lots of people who long for warm weather in the winter & cool weather in the blistering heat, i know it's all about the gear. i am armed for this weather & like i said, as long as the boyos are having good times, good times, it's all kinds of good.

having written with pen & paper all my life, it's a marked difference typing my thoughts out for [potentially] all to see online. i guess i will have to edit this myself - to spare some feelings & to keep the mystery about. it's a brave new world. i may just enjoy it too much...
